This is the first year that I am a teacher,
teaching 1st grade in Schouweiler (Luxemburg)
(6/7 year-old children)
17 children (10 girls and 7 boys)
whose origins come from 6 different countries, but they are all born in Luxemburg.
I’m teaching all lessons (26) myself
The primary school in Schouweiler where I’m teaching now is the same school I was a pupil as a child. So, some of my work-colleagues were my teachers a few years ago (for example Patrick Arendt and Robert Kass)
It is quite a strange feeling to leave a school as a pupil and to come back as a teacher.
I agreed to participate in this project, because it offers possibilities to the children to learn more about other cultures but also about themselves by comparing their life to other children’s life and by working together an the same project.
