My name is Robert Kass

Most people call me Robi or Robbes

I'm born on the 18th of June in 1951 and I'm teaching at the elementary school of Schouweiler since 1974 (Those prehistorical times when everything used to be better??)

Seriously, in spite of a lot of so called reforms and innovations in our educational systems in the last 25 years, I feel that things havn't changed that much. I think that it has always been up to the idealism and the creativity of individual teachers to make things go on, and so it's today. That's the reason why I'm glad to join this project, hoping to make a step forward by sharing this experience with all those nice colleagues and pupils from several countries.

In my current class there are 9 nice girls and 8 gentle boys of 10-11 years who can hardly wait to get to know their european schoolmates.

tell me all

I like it

  • my family
  • all kind of good music
  • reading a book in one go
  • red wine, cigarettes and coffee
  • romantic and surrealistic poetry
  • making new experiences
  • people who dont think they're important
  • talking with my pupils
  • being lazy

I hate it

  • people who dont doubt their opinions
  • too much of schedule and rules
  • always "just having fun"
  • days that have 24 hours only
  • being lazy

I'm married since 1979 and we have two children (19 and 15)

Besides school I spend some of my time with a mixed choir(conductor) and a childrens choir (accompanist) and by doing some (not enough) sports.

My motto : Tomorrow is another day
