chapter 2
Hugo in Vianden

Suddenly a group of bikers is passing by. Hugo asks: „Where do you go?“ The children answer: „We drive to Vianden! But now we have to leave. Byeee!!“ – „Is that anything to eat?“ Hugo asks. ,,No,it isn't, it is a big village,“ the Red Lion explains. ,, Let's got otVianden!,“the Lion shouts.“Ok, but how to get there?“, Hugo asks. ,, Of course by bike, too, there is a castle in Vianden .“ - ,,And where do we get a bicycle?“ asks Hugo.

Now our two friends walk to the suburbs in the "Grund" to rent a bike. They drive for a while. Then they arrive at a crossing..,,Let's take the way to the left.“ Two hours later they face a mountain, the "Mont St-Nicolas", a small mountain in the surroundings of Vianden. ,,Oh no, this was the wrong way, we must go back“,y the Lion says angrily. They drive back to the crossing. They take the way to the right and after all those efforts they finally see the castle of Vianden. They leave the bicycle in front of the castle, pay their entrance fee and visit the castle. They even climb to the top of the highest tower of the castle.

A group of children appears with a boy with black hair. When Hugo and the Red Lion look into his face, they both must laugh and fall down the hill. They land on an empty ski elevator (but of course there is no possibility to ski).Hugo bends himself too far forward and falls down, the Red Lion jumps afterwards. They fall into the river: the Our. They are drug along suddenly by a strong current. The lion shouts: "We are sucked in from a pump, and will be carried on the "Nikolausberg".

When thenthey come on the mountain in the enormous basin to the water surface, Hugo is exhausted and asks the lion : "How does this all function?" The pumps push up the water and then it is let again late through the turbines ! That makes electricity" the red lion explains and they saunter again to the castle.

,,What purpose do the people use this castle for?" Hugo asks. The lion answers:" It is a museum from the Middle Ages?" ,,And what about the "ski elevator? How does it work?“, Hugo wants to know.,,The Sessellift is propelled by an engine and the armchair are transported up and downwith steel cables ", the lion answers. Hugo is content and falls asleep. As heiwakes up it is dark night. They go visiting the museum. In the next morning they have enough from the castle andthey run away from it.
